My heart and soul go out to the people o Hatiti. I wish there were something more I could do.
God expects him who has much to give to him that has tiny. He always has and always will. This is one of the swiftest ways to get God to turn up in your life.
Jesus declared the poor you will have with you usually. God has given clear instructions in His word of how treat the poor.
Pr 22:9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be sanctified ; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity on the poor lendeth unto the LORD ; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
Note the following verses in II Corinthians chapter 9 :
6 But this I say, He which soweth parsimoniously shall harvest also sparingly ; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you ; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work :
nine ( As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad ; he hath given to the poor : his goodness remaineth for ever.
ten Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the results of your goodness ; )
eleven Being improved in each thing to all bountifulness, which causeth thru us thanksgiving to God
God's plan in the earth is for His youngsters to supply the wishes of the entire earth. The church is to give to several and borrow from none. It is plain to see that the church has not achieved this yet. Why is this not happening? Because the church in total is not tithing. Less than 5 percent of the church is tithing, giving one tenth of there revenue on a constant basis.
God always multiplies seed sown. Then all the glory will go to God and not the governments of worldly systems.
According to Ephesians 3:20, God has the facility to do extremely extravagantly above anything that we are able to ask or maybe think, but he isn't about to do it till the church, in total, starts to tithe and give according to His word.
